The WeVue Culture Chalk Talks are quick snapshots into ways you can quickly change the dynamics of your workplace. We share insights on things we’re doing at WeVue to build a stronger team, successes and failings of small and large companies, and culture hacks to encourage more employee engagement and better communication. Remote workers are a huge part of today’s workforce. Whether you have traveling salespeople or an offshore development team remote work has become the norm. One thing that is constantly overlooked when working with remote workers is making them feel like a part of the team.
We here at WeVue have a lot of experience with remote workers. We have used several remote workers for different tasks and recently moved to using dedicated remote workers. What we have found out is that if you go the extra step to include your remote workers in the culture of your business they will be more connected and more willing to work hard for you. Treat remote workers just like any other worker. Include them in activities and share with them the successes that are happening within your company. Let them see how their work is contributing to the business. This will create a better, stronger relationship and will boost their effort level tremendously.
