About three months ago, we received a phone call from one our very good friends at the Hillsborough Economic Development Council asking us if we would participate in a video they were shooting about millennials living and working in the Tampa Bay area. The Tampa EDC wanted to show their investors and partners the rising talent in Tampa, highlighting what millenials wanted and needed from this city to be able to live, work, and play successfully here.
Introducing the Millennial Interviews:
The video was a great success, and it was shown at the EDC’s annual event last week to over 500 invested stakeholders in the area. Likewise, much of the conversation at the annual event centered around how how the EDC should be more focused on turning this city into a place along the lines of Austin or Brooklyn, where young people really want to live for a variety of reasons.
The video got us thinking that other generations want to learn to better engage millennials. We’re constantly asked: what does it take to hire and successfully retain good millennial talent?.
So we decided to create our own video series that poses the question to some of the most talented, young individuals we know from around the globe.
What does it take to hire you? Why do you work where you work and why do you do the work you do?
